The SOFA is a 501c3 nonprofit public benefit corporation. Our members comprise a national educational speaker’s bureau, providing speakers to all types of end users who help eliminate Financial Illiteracy. We consist of professionals who operate their own practices like (Attorneys, Financial Planners, CPA’s and Tax, Mortgage Professionals, Relators, Wellness Practitioners, and Estate Planners) to provide financial education to the public at work and where they gather, through workshops and seminars. SOFA introduces keys to a successful and a profitable future in the form of workshops and educational seminars. These workshops help people to become aware of budgeting, cash flow, risk management, investment, and tax strategies. Each workshop is focused on teaching attendees to identifying and qualify their personal and family financial planning goals. Our members provide all educational programs at NO CHARGE; “Seeking to end financial illiteracy one community at a time.”

The Marketing Intern is responsible for the development of programs and projects to achieve membership recruitment and retention goals. Creating marketing material Graphic design using Adobe Elements, Photoshop and word press. Programs and projects include member communications, corporate programs, and newsletters and improve overall member experience. This role has significant interaction with members, prospects, partners, IMO’s FMO’s and staff.
SPECIFIC DUTIES AND RESPONSIBLITIES:
• Collaborate with developer of internal marketing plans and programs for SOFA Members, meetings, products and member marketing, including collateral and promotional materials, electronic communications, advertising, cross-promotional opportunities, Web site, video/DVD, Social Media, exhibits and any other delivery channels. Develop, implement and manage ongoing communications programs to increase member awareness of Society membership value proposition and increase participation in SOFA
• Develop write and edit talking points, white papers, memo, blogs, Web pages, scripts and key internal communications as needed for staff, members and volunteer leadership.
• Develop and implement market research to measure and analyze member’s needs and satisfaction with SOFA membership and products.
• Select and work with member benefit suppliers/affinity program companies, and promote benefits to members.
• Conduct membership surveys, by working with third-party companies and other SOFA departments.
• Manages and implements the marketing strategy to recruit and retain members
• prepare marketing videos, editing blog posting and social media.
• Explore new marketing/customer service avenues and ways to assist Membership department with recruitment/retention and product/services sales.
• Works with Membership to develop and manage membership marketing materials, including the website.
